We are a voluntary, confidential, non-disciplinary monitoring program to support licensees of the ND Board of Medicine experiencing substance use or mental health problems. The program is designed to encourage health professionals to seek a recovery program before their condition harms a patient or damages their careers.
We are currently accepting applications for the contracted part-time position of Medical Director. This is a negotiated contract subject to the approval of the Board of Directors. The Medical Director will carry out clinical and educational activities associated with the purpose of NDPHP. They will function in accordance with clinical policies and procedures of the program and shall exercise independent clinical judgment in the provision of client services.
The position reports to the Board of Directors and works in close cooperation with the Executive Director on matters of mutual concern for the purpose of the program. These collaborative efforts include implementation of clinical and administrative policies and procedures, clinical case consultation, risk management issues and community relations.
