one of our graduated participants I am one of the 10-15% of people in healthcare that at one time abused alcohol.

I was aware of the problem but didn’t have a clue how to change my behavior and lifestyle to get on a road to recovery and sobriety. The program at NDPHP, along with the people there have helped me on that journey.

True sobriety, and ongoing recovery doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a process that takes time and there can be rough spots on the way. The program at NDPHP helps smooth out the rough spots. The people at NDPHP, along with a couple good AA groups, have been extremely helpful to me in getting and maintaining my sobriety. I am, and will always be thankful.

Because of the nature of our business, monitoring our behavior by routine testing is mandatory. The process set up by NDPHP is about as painless as possible. The daily check-in becomes routine and is easily done. If there is a need to travel it was not a problem if advanced notice was given. The NDPHP acts as an advocate for those of us in recovery when it comes to questions from the regulatory groups, insurance companies, etc.

If anyone reading this thinks they or someone they know may have a problem with alcohol or drugs, I highly recommend you contact the people and program at NDPHP. It could be the most important decision you’ll make for your future.

I am and will be forever grateful.
