Brittany Hanson, BSN, RN, serves as the Executive Director for the North Dakota Professional Health Program and is a licensed Registered Nurse in North Dakota. She received a Diploma and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Minot State University – Bottineau and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Chamberlain College of Nursing. Her education also includes additional undergraduate work in psychology and chemistry and graduate work in psychology and nursing.
Her background includes experience in nursing and disability advocacy. She’s practiced as a staff nurse and travel nurse in Central and Western North Dakota in specialty areas including intensive outpatient dual diagnosis home and community based services (HCBS) team-based nursing, public health and infection prevention consulting, school-based, critical care, and maternal child nursing – labor & delivery. Her work in disability advocacy focused on awareness, access to services and supports, and protection of rights, as well as parent/peer supports.
She was a founding member of an area non-profit for individuals with Autism and their families and is actively involved with area disability advocacy groups and community organizations.
